Who is she?
Meet Carol Stubbs
Carol Stubbs spent 28 years serving Cumberland County Schools in support roles that kept her closely connected to students, families, educators, and the everyday life of the school system. Her work included serving as a custodian and bus driver, giving her firsthand experience with what happens before the school day begins, throughout the school day, and after students head home.
Her service extended beyond her daily responsibilities. Carol served as both vice president and president of the Cumberland County Association of Educators, advocating alongside other education employees and remaining actively involved in issues affecting public schools.
Her years of service were also recognized with The Order of the Long Leaf Pine, an honor presented by the Governor of North Carolina for exemplary service to the state.
Even after retirement, Carol remained involved in public education and community service. The North Carolina Association of Educators currently lists her as president of Cumberland County Retired School Personnel and Region 6A treasurer.
